It was one of those days. You know, the kind where you look across the room and one of your sixth graders has a banana peel on his head as if it were a hat. Yeah, it was bad. They were out of control. And so was I because I was not able to control my laughter at their hilarity today. I couldn't even be mad at them because I was being the bad example and laughing at them. Whoops. I will be paying for that the rest of the week.
On a brighter note, I finally decided to join the rest of the world in the 21st century and get a smart phone. And I even kinda flirted with the Verizon guy. Nbd.
Ugh and it's now midnight and I just cannot force myself to open my math book and plan my lesson that is getting observed by another teacher in the morning.
On a wonderful note, more than half of my kids passed the math test we took today on surface area!!! That's the first time that I've had half the kids pass the test all year. Pathetic, huh? (I promise that my teaching skills are nowhere reflected in their test grades...they just don't LISTEN!)
